Joe: When you are real with God, God will be real with you.

God, I know that a part of me doesn’t want to hear your voice, knowing that I will have to completely change, and that it will hurt. Part of me knows that most of the time when I read the Bible, I don’t change my life, and then, when that happens, I become less willing to read the Bible.

God let me delve into your word without the fear of inadequacy, without the fear of failure.

God, let me be satisfied in your providence, in your sovereignty. When I feel powerless, remind me that you hold the World in your hands. That the world is moving exactly how its supposed to: in order to glorify you.

I feel stagnant, like old water. It’s because I think I’ve been putting a lot of effort in an attempt to complete God’s will. It’s the other way around. God’s complete will allows me to put effort in satisfying it in me.
